Feb 2023 – Present: Aramis Group

  • Clicars was acquired by Stellantis’ Aramis Group, and we are unifying group processes with colleagues across countries.
  • Daily work in an international environment, improving my English and understanding the challenges of multicultural teams.
  • Built global infrastructure on GKE with Terraform and ArgoCD – a real game changer.
  • Created and maintained Helm charts and base images for the group.
  • Migrated legacy apps to the new infrastructure (100% Infrastructure as Code).
  • Deployment, management, and architecture of apps with multiple dependent services and various storage (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL), caching (Redis), and queues (RabbitMQ).
  • Integrated new apps with legacy group apps.
  • Maintained legacy Clicars infrastructure during migration.
  • Deployment and maintenance of AppSearch and Elasticsearch for group websites.
  • Modified data scientists’ software to run in Kubernetes (batch jobs and Flask APIs).
  • I still enjoy delivering training sessions that shift perspectives and make others’ lives easier.

Dec 2020 – Feb 2023: Clicars

  • Started as the only person handling everything outside of dev, QA, and helpdesk (lots of Kubernetes on Google Cloud, CI/CD, on-prem, …) using the cheapest tech to make the company grow faster.
  • Tried a paradigm shift: empowering teams to take ownership of infrastructure-as-code on Kubernetes and Jenkins pipelines. It didn’t succeed as much as I hoped.
  • Grew the group to two people while keeping that philosophy.
  • One of the most enriching periods of my career, only comparable to my time at Paradigma.
  • Worked with Data Scientists deploying and maintaining Airflow.

Sep 2019 – Dec 2020: Global Data & Content / Solera Inc

  • Founded the DevOps group in EMEA.
  • Worked in an international English-speaking environment.
  • Migration procedures from Pivotal CloudFoundry (PCF) to Pivotal Kubernetes (PKS).
  • Azure Pipelines and Concourse.
  • Azure managed with Terraform deploying apps on AKS.
  • Kubernetes managed with fluxcd.io.
  • Worked with microservices ecosystems in Java, Node, and .Net.
  • Absorbed DevOps tasks from another company with:
    • AWS infra
    • Kubernetes deployed with kops
  • Used Mac (Apple) for CI/CD tasks with iOS and Kubernetes.
